Love and Beauty
Catholicism is about both the intellect and the senses. Andrew Seeley’s essay is concerned with the latter and “the joyful duty of Catholic education.” He says:
Our nation’s Puritanical past might lead us to think that to be religious is to deny ourselves what is beautiful, but the opposite is true.
